On Wednesday, January 19, 2011, the students in Room 365 will be going to the Royal Ontario Museum at 100 Queen’s Park Crescent.  The trip will be all day long.  We will depart from school at 9:00 in the morning for the TTC and return by 3:00 in the afternoon at the school.  The cost for the trip, including TTC, is $27.00. There are some food service facilities at the ROM.  Students may  bring a lunch, preferably litter-less, or money for the cafe.

The visit features links to the Ontario Curriculum in the area of Aboriginal Peoples (Social Studies).  We will be taking part in a combined exhibit and laboratory session with  a Museum teacher for the Aboriginal Peoples section.  In the afternoon we take part in a clay workshop at the Gardiner Museum, making a totem pole creation.
